Ferdinand Alexander Porsche

1935 Born December 11th in Stuttgart

1942 1st class "Volksschule" in Stuttgart

1943 Moved to Zell am See, Austria, where he continued in the "Volksschule" and later the "Hauptschule"

1950 Moved to Stuttgart where he attended the "Freie Waldorf Schule" (Rudolf Steiner school)

1954 Workshop apprenticeship at Bosch in Stuttgart for 2 years followed by 1 year apprenticeship in the technical design office at Bosch

1957 Attended the school of design in Ulm

1958 Technical design department at Porsche KG Stuttgart - involved in body and motor design as well as prototype construction

1960 Started in the design studios at Porsche KG

1962 Took over the management of design studios at Porsche KG, development of the "Formula I" racing car

1963 Development of the Porsche "904" and "911"

1968 Deputy manager at Porsche KG

1972 Founded Porsche Design in Stuttgart

1974 Moved Porsche Design studio to Zell am See

1990 - 93 Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dr.Ing.h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart

1995 President of the Board of Directors at Eterna AG, Grenchen, Switzerland

1997 Member of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Holding GmbH, Salzburg

1999 Awarding of honorary title "Professor" by the University of Vienna.
